Lab objective: In this lab, we’ll create a Windows 11 machine and join it to the Domain.

We can create a Windows 11 machine in a couple of different ways.

Option 1: (We won’t do it this way for this lab)

• It’s easy enough to search up ‘Windows 11 ISO’ download and install Windows 11 using the same process we used to initially install our Windows Server machine.

Option 2: We’ll use a Windows 11 Template

• Copy the WIn11_Template.zip from C:\SYNCED_FILES\VM_TEMPLATES to your working directory and unzip it.
  • Can’t find the template? Download it here.

Open this Virtual Machine inside of VMWare Workstation, Right Click and Choose ‘Settings’.

• We’ll need to place this machine on VMNET5 (Our Air Gapped Network)

Change the Adapter from ‘Bridged’ to ‘VMNET5’

Go ahead and start it up. You’ll be logged in automatically.

• Username: student
• Password: student

Right-click on the network icon in the bottom-right corner and select ‘Network and Internet Settings.’

Select ‘Ethernet’

Select ‘edit’ for IP assignment.
