• At this point, we have the following:
  • A domain controller with:
    • A domain administrator account configured
    • A domain user account configured
    • A domain computer joined to the domain
  • A domain client with:
    • A static IP address on a shared VMNet virtual switch with the Domain Controller.

It would make a lot of sense to back this environment up at this point so that you can get back to this fairly default state any time you like if you mess things up too badly!

On both machines, right click and choose ‘Take Snapshot’
